WHY TOILET / WASHROOM DOORS GET DAMAGED QUICKLY? Can we protect them?

Toilet doors / Wash Room Doors:- Just Imagine if there are no toilets, how we will survive? Where we will excrete? Just because our excretes give foul smell which comes from our body, and we release them in the Toilet, no one cares much about the Toilet doors as perfectly as Bedrooms or other doors.

Why these toilet doors get rotten quickly? Just because of washing the floor number of times in the toilet,  the blockage of our shampooed hair & other particles at the water outlet, jams the water for some time, and indirectly soak the bottom of the door occasionally, at least once in a week. This is the reason why Washroom doors / Toilet doors gets damaged, black colour, fungus, mushrooms, sponge form like wood etc..

Generally people stick the PVC sheet from TOP to BOTTOM of the inside surface of the toilet door. Imagine any water droplets, just fall down because of gravitation, but will never stay longer on the door surface which is primer coated and enamel painted. Then what will be the use of attaching pvc sheet.

The main protection to be given is, at the bottom of the door. How we wear our shoes or sandals to protect the feet from Hot / Cold / Sharp edges, similarly, the bottom of the door is NOT PROTECTED by anyone, no builder/ no carpenter / no civil engineer...

As the door is purchased by owner, carpenter trims the door and aligns the door properly with Hinges fitting, lock fitting, handle, tower bolt etc..Next comes the turn of painter. He just paints front, back, side surfaces which are all visible but he never paints AT THE BOTTOM of the door as the BRUSH CANNOT GO there. There is the problem. No one is sealing the bottom.

How to eradicate this problem? APPLY METAL PASTE AT THE BOTTOM. Instruct the carpenter to apply the metal paste at the bottom of the door frame , ( Sandal / chappals portion of the door) and to the door and 1 feet height from bottom. This metal paste acts like a cement bonding to the wood surface and doesn't allow water to go inside the wood.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR DOORS AS THEY HAVE IMPORTANCE AS OTHER ITEMS IN HOUSE. Purchasing / Replacing / Repairing in Bulk is different and trouble with a single door is a different task.
