Are you constructing a House? Do you know when to purchase Door Frames & Doors?
Every house construction needs Door frames and Doors. But when to purchase these door frames and doors? What are the options available with these Door Frames and Doors?
Generall y, it's an old tradition that door frames are fixed or aligned to the walls at the time of wall construction, and then plastering is done. Door frames are given the Horns on the top side of the frames and those horns at the top and Holdfast/ Z angle at the center was used to hold the frames, and then cement plastering is done to the walls.
After the plastering, the next step is curing the plastering surface with water daily, till the plastering is packed and cured properly. Just notice the construction sites work going on or ask your contractor the procedure.
What I mean to say? Just think while buying the frames? We check with the sawmill person or timber merchant whether timber is seasoned properly. Even though the timber merchant says, he is airdrying the timber for the past 6 months, after bringing to our premise, what we do?
What i suggest is, go for dry fixing, after the flooring level, wall plastering, etc are over. Fix the frames with Anchor Fasteners, so that the bolt will expand inside the wall and give the grip to the frame. We supply the doors and frames which are seasoned in CHAMBERS technically and moisture or water is removed with reference to the specifications.
What is the benefit? Firstly, Insect or borers develop when there is moisture in the wood. Slowly powdering starts from the timber and makes it hollow. Secondly, the seasonal changes like summer, winter, and rainy humid conditions, from the atmosphere little moisture is absorbed or released and makes the door jammed into the frame.
Does the flush door expand? 99% no, as it is factory processed. Does the Timber door expand or Contract? 99% yes, because many people are still getting the doors work done through carpenters. We provide factory seasoned doors and we give a guarantee that they will not expand or contract after guiding the customer, the surface coats, sealers etc..to be finished properly.
what are the benefits of dry fixing? 1) Utilising money in time - rather than purchasing the frames, hanging them to the walls, curing them, etc..and waiting for 6 months till all the works get completed. 2) Pre-planning the door designs, the section of the frames, size of the frames needed etc..checking in the market, what is the standard size, and implementing accordingly.
Most of the people unknowingly go with the wrong selection of frame size and frame sections and spend unnecessarily their hard-earned money. Instead, they should check the market sizes, or discuss with the Architect, and go with the correct sizes.
